Overview
Zuper Free Shipping helps merchants increase order value and improve conversions by automatically unlocking free shipping when shoppers meet a defined threshold.
Merchants can create flexible rules based on:
- Minimum cart value
- Total item quantity
- Selected products
Once configured, the app evaluates each cart in real time and applies free shipping instantly when conditions are met. A dynamic progress bar on the storefront motivates customers to add more items, while all settings are securely stored in Shopify metafields for a smooth and native experience.
The app leverages Shopify Discount Functions to ensure that free shipping is applied automatically at checkout and removed if conditions are no longer met, providing a consistent and seamless experience across storefront and backend.

Merchant Experience
Install the App
Install Zuper Free Shipping directly from the Shopify App Store.
Configure Free Shipping Rules
Open the Admin Dashboard and set your desired free shipping threshold based on cart value, item quantity, or selected products.
Save Settings Securely
Once saved, the app securely stores your configuration in Shopify shop metafields.
Enable the Theme App Extension
Activate the Theme App Extension to display the dynamic free shipping progress bar on your storefront.
Test the Experience
Add products to the cart and watch the progress bar update. When the threshold is reached, free shipping is automatically applied at checkout.
Permissions Requested
Zuper Free Shipping requests only the minimum permissions required to operate correctly:
- read_products – Allows the app to identify products when merchants create product-based free shipping rules.
- write_shop_metafields – Used to securely store free shipping configuration data such as threshold values and condition types.
- read_discounts / write_discounts – Enables the app to create, apply, and manage automatic free shipping discounts at checkout.
These permissions are strictly used to provide the app’s core functionality and are never accessed for unrelated purposes.
Data Handling & Privacy
Zuper Free Shipping is designed with privacy and security in mind.
- No personal customer data is stored or transmitted by the app.
- Only shop-level configuration data (such as threshold values and condition types) is saved.
- All settings are stored securely using Shopify metafields.
- All communication is encrypted using OAuth 2.0 to ensure data protection and compliance with Shopify standards.
Testing Instructions for Shopify Review Team
- Install the app on a test store.
- Open the dashboard and set a threshold. Example: ₹500 minimum cart value.
- Enable the Theme App Extension.
- Add products to the cart and observe the dynamic progress bar.
- Exceed the threshold to trigger the free shipping discount.
- Remove items to go below the threshold and confirm the discount is removed.
Expected Behavior
- Free shipping is applied only when the condition is met.
- The progress bar updates instantly as the cart changes.
- The discount is removed automatically when conditions are no longer satisfied.

To address merchant needs, we’ve added built-in conversion rate support, allowing merchants to display multiple currencies to customers. Merchants can also customize the currency symbol for better localization. (Note: Currency display does not affect the checkout page.)
Track how each product contributes to free-shipping conversions and identify which items encourage customers to engage with the shipping bar. The app automatically detects the store’s currency from Shopify Markets and updates pricing accordingly. Currency changes apply only when Shopify Payments is enabled.
